Values Are Foundation of Performances

Identifying your core values goes beyond the business into yourself as well, as you are the main control of all that goes on within the business – so naturally, those values you hold dear to yourself are quite essential to the business as well.

Because of values You hold Important; at the beginning of your journey you are your business, and your business is you.

Foundation is built by you, based on your values and design. So, make sure that it is the strongest one…

The key concept is that you want to craft your values, identify them, and share them with those that will take an interest in your business and all that you offer.

Your VALUES must also resonate with the VALUES of the people that you intend to work with! You must remain on the same page always! There must be a commonality that is present to ensure that the right message is spread.

It is always difficult to appeal to a broad audience, while a smaller audience remains more ideal for better communication between. You can’t be everything to everybody, but your values will make you something to somebody.

Determining What Most Matters to Yourself and Your Business

Determining the values of your business as well as yourself is an important step because it speaks on what you do and how you bring forth the business that you do. Numerous different values play into a successful business and may including:

Accountability Achievement Challenge Change Communication
Creativity Competence Decisiveness Discipline Effectiveness
Efficiency Excellence Faith Family Freedom
Fun Gratitude Harmony Honesty Honour
Innovation Knowledge Leadership Loyalty Meaning
Money Persistence Positiveness Power Problem Solving
Personal Growth Progress Prosperity Respect Results
Resourcefulness Safety/Security Service Spirituality Status
Strength Success Synergy Systems Tolerance
Truth Trust Teamwork Wealth Wisdom

So, what is it that stands out?

What have you determined to be your TOP VALUES?

What about your team’s values?

Do you know what is important to your team and what values they hold important?

How are your team’s VALUES resonating to your corporate VALUES and VISION?

What makes your team click? What drives YOU?

There is no right or wrong answer here, as no two brains are ever the same.

Determining what matters most to yourself and your business is a great way to determine the core values that exist within your business and in your life – which both ties in together to create a more reliable and integrity filled business.

Ask yourself regularly:

  1. What are my top priorities?

  2. What are my top VALUES? Why?

  3. Do I live, work, and contribute in line with my top VALUES and PRIORITIES?

If you aren’t sure what values are core values in your business, how are those you intend to provide services or products to, supposed to know what values you hold important?

How are they supposed to distinguish you from the rest of those businesses that do what you do?

How are they supposed to know what you stand for and how you promise to offer services or products to them?

Here is the point: Values, if expressed, are your extended guarantee for all of those that you intend to work with!

Clients, customers, employees, investors, and other stakeholders want to know what it is that drives you to offer the services and products to them, how you proceed to do so, and what your true intentions are behind it all.

Your core values are the key to building relationships and ensuring those choosing you over others that they will be satisfied with what they receive.

Your message must be able to communicate your TOP VALUES – and this message doesn’t have to be written or spoken. It is seen through every single thing that you do and engages in, and all that you do.

Every single action you made and thought you put into action counts, even though what counts may not always be able to be counted.

Values are the backbone of every business, and those you hold personal should be reflected in the business that you create – after all, this is your brainchild and should reflect a great deal of who you are and what you plan to accomplish through it.

With well-stated and clear values, others can easily determine what your true intentions are from the start, and what they can expect to receive by doing business with you.

Action list for you to consider and implement

  1. List some of the world’s universal principles. They need not be related to business.

  1. What are the CORE VALUES of some of the greatest companies in the world today?

  1. What are your CORE VALUES? Are you able to list 20 different things/beliefs/values that are most important for starting/building as well as growing any business today?

  1. What is most important to you? Can you identify the core VALUES?

  1. How do these things support your overall vision?

  1. Your VALUES are just like your business’s DNA! Remaining as your safe harbour, base, and even your starting point. Think about it…

Keep in mind that we will always act and behave following these values we hold close and important.

Till next week give your best efforts. You can do it if you start strong and keep momentum. Small wins create progress which gets people motivated and involved. It would be best if you kept the ball rolling. Define values that matter to you and more importantly define why it is so…
